Something not opening, a course stuck, a word that’s wrong: tell us your device and what you tapped; a screenshot helps. We’re a small nonprofit in Kirkland, Washington, and we read every message.

A Few Quick Answers

“This course needs a connection.”

A course added since your last app update opens from our website. The six inside the app open anywhere, and a later update carries the new one inside.

Your Done ticks are gone.

They live only on this device, so deleting the app clears them.

Text too small inside a course.

Turn on Zoom in Settings, Accessibility. It magnifies any screen.

This inbox isn’t watched around the clock. If you’re in crisis, use Help in an urgent situation in the app, or call your local emergency number (in the US, 911, or 988).

Accessibility

Our aim. We aim for the app to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and to be usable with the accessibility features built into iPhone and iPad.

What meets it today. On the app’s own screens (Home, the course pages, More and Help): text follows the device’s Text Size setting; every button and link has a label that VoiceOver reads; headings are marked; text contrast is at least 5.1 to 1 (AA asks 4.5 to 1); motion stops when Reduce Motion is on; status is shown with a tick and a word, not colour alone; and buttons and rows are at least 44 points tall. In the courses, every button has a label, headings are marked, and with Reduce Motion on, each animated drawing shows as a still picture and the practice pieces drop their transitions.

What doesn’t yet.

Tell us about a barrier. Write to bemindful@themindfuldesign.org. Say which screen and what happened. We’ll reply, and we’ll fix it or find you another way to the course.

How we checked. On October 6, 2026, we inspected the accessibility tree of the app’s screens and one course, measured text contrast, and viewed the app at the largest text size in the iOS Simulator. A full check on devices is planned before the next major release.
