What the app keeps, where, and why.

Plainly, and without promising more than is true.

What is tracked, and where

The app records which lessons you opened and finished, the days you practiced, and where you stopped inside one. It is saved on your device, and none of it is sent to us.

There are no accounts and no guest code. There is nothing to sign in to, no email address to give us, and nothing to delete from an account screen, because there is no account. Your progress never reaches us.

When you ask the Guide

Questions in the More menu opens a chat. What you type there leaves your device, goes to our server, and from there to Anthropic, an AI company, whose model writes the reply. Before your first question the Guide says so and asks, once.

Your question travels with the rest of that conversation and the name of the lesson you had open. Your name, your email and your progress do not, because we do not have them.

We keep no copy of the conversation. Our server keeps your IP address for about a day, so the chat cannot be run in a flood, and does not pass it on to Anthropic.

Anthropic deletes what you sent within 30 days. If its safety systems flag a conversation, it can keep it for up to two years, or longer if the law requires. It does not train its models on it.

The answers are AI-generated, and they can be wrong. The Guide is not a substitute for HR, IT, or your manager.

If you choose to donate

Donating is optional. The donate button opens Givebutter, a separate payment platform, in your browser. Givebutter handles your payment details. We never see or store your card number.

Weekly and one-on-one sessions

Sessions happen over Zoom. To join one, you email us, and we use your address only to reply. Sessions are not recorded unless we tell you in advance.

A few small entries

A few entries on your device remember your progress, the days you practiced, your reminder choice and your answer to the Guide’s first question. They stay on your device. The app sets no cookies. No advertising, no analytics, no third-party tracking.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Its fonts, pictures and pages are all served from here; it loads nothing from any other company.

Four plain promises

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads or ad tracking. We do not share your information for marketing. We do not send marketing or newsletters.

The one exception: information we are legally required to disclose, for example by a valid court order.

Ask us directly

When the app changes, we update this page and the date at the top. The Academy is for adults. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we delete it.
